Put the renewal terms in your welcome email
California's Automatic Renewal Law asks for one more thing after sign-up: an acknowledgment the customer can keep, with the renewal terms, your cancellation policy and how to cancel (Bus. & Prof. Code § 17602(a)(3)). If the offer starts with a free trial, it should also say how to cancel before the first charge.
You probably already send a welcome email, so let it do the job. Add a short block near the top:
- What they signed up for, the price and how often it charges.
- That it renews until they cancel.
- A direct link to cancel or manage billing.
It also saves customers a search later, which is a calm way to keep their trust.
